2. Perspective
After dinner, the mother and daughter were washing dishes while the father and son watched TV.
Suddenly, a loud crash came from the kitchen, followed by silence.
The son looked at his father and said, “It must be Mom who broke the dish.”
The father asked, “How do you know?”
The son replied, “She didn’t yell.”
Insight: We tend to apply different standards to others and ourselves, often being strict with others while lenient with ourselves.
