10. One Shoe
On a high-speed train, an elderly man accidentally dropped one of his brand new shoes out of the window.
The people around felt sorry for him, but surprisingly, he immediately threw the other shoe out as well.
This shocked everyone.
The old man explained, “This one shoe is useless to me now; if someone finds a pair, they might actually be able to wear them!”
Insight: Some pains are irretrievable; it’s better to let go early.
